Mr. James Franklin Harris, age 92, of Haltom City passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2017. He was born on August 12, 1924 in Corsicana, Texas to Ruth Elizabeth Blackmon Harris and Johnny Harris.

He served in the U.S. Army for over 3 years during World War II and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.


He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Lou Harris and sister, Eloise Davis. He is survived by his daughter, Candace Harris, his step-daughter, Regina Klapp, and grandson Johnny Klapp. James is also survived by his great-grandchildren; Skyla Rogers, Austin Cruz, Leah Klapp, Evan Klapp, Clayton Tolbert and Chase Swinne, and niece, Betty Harris.

No formal visitation is scheduled for Mr. Harris. Graveside Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana with Dr. Rick Lamb officiating.
