Bobby Glenn Richardson of Lindale, Texas passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord with his loved ones by his side on June 15, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennie, son Jeffrey Glenn Richardson of Lindale, granddaughter and her husband, Kayla and Evan plus three cherished great-grandchildren: Hayden, Camden and Rhyden Rahm. He was proceeded in death by his son, Robert Dale Richardson of Phoenix, in 2012.
Bobby graduated from Arlington High School and the University of Texas in Arlington and serviced in the U.S. Army in Korea where one of his task was tracking the Russian Sputnik satellite upon its launch in 1957. He received numerous medals and commendations for his military service. Bobby worked at NCR (National Cash Register Corporation) for 35 years, where he was the Chief Financial Officer for the Southwest region, as well as Hawaii and Guam. Upon his retirement he became a successful commercial realtor for Coldwell Banker in Phoenix for 10 years.
Bobby met the love of his life, Jennie Stark, in high school and she met her Hero. They married 3 years later. The couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on August 19, 2016. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lindale.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 6-8pm at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Tom Buck officiating.
